SCHOHARIE - On Tuesday evening Schoharie Valley Masonic Lodge # 491 installed their new line of officers for 2006 - 2007.

W:.Jeremi M. Sherman was installed as Master of the Lodge in a public ceremony that was well attended by family, friends and visitors from other Masonic Lodges in the area.
The new Master is a 1989 Graduate of Schoharie Central School, and is currently employed by Cable Care of Scotia, NY as an underground cable technician.

Worshipful Master Sherman had the rare opportunity of being installed by his father, V.'. W.'. Richard A. Sherman who was Master of the Lodge last year. Master Sherman told those in attendance that he plans to lead a vigorous program focused on the needs of the youth in the Schoharie Valley. The Lodge currently sponsor and houses Troop #4 Boy Scouts of America as well as a farm team and girl's softball team for the Schoharie Little League. The Schoharie Masons have also been very involved over the years in fund raising for local community programs and services in the Schoharie and Middleburgh area. The Lodge sponsors an annual Halloween party each October and a Military Veterans Night each November.
